infecting the city

its one of the things in life im just amazed i got to see it like last years one which i came across on my way to long street were i saw this art provoking perfomance about how slavery has become a some sort of thing that the government has hide and pretends that everybody is still mentaly inslaved by the system and how it changes a person perspective about life. You are mentaly brain washed to think the minute you are born, all you have to do is do what everybody is doing but what happens when one moves on the different direction that suits them. Now that really moved me if i could say Spiritualy because breaking free from yourself that has been "Trained" to obey has been awaken by the inner you. Form then on wards i told myself to follow this movement and hopefully be part of sometime in the future.

And this year we had the opportunity to go see it which was on the side entrance of metro rail station in adderly street. I went there on a thursday but with a differnt class but stood far from the rest of them when i saw it wasnt my class. nway there was this band playin some cool cuban music perfoming on a stage made totaly out of everything that can be recycled, i refuse to call it rubbish when it has been put in such use. Like i mean they had trash bags covered with nets. Made me wonder what is a perfect stage, are we listening to music that we didnt understand so that means its trash? or we play and live in dirt?..as usual i was lost in a far world and their music wasnt doing any justice by bringing me back. i loved the perfomance. It is trully a Spear piercing form of art that questions one's conciousness about what you think art is. This form of art really does infect the city.

Designs

i love this desgn of fur-balls stuck on each other to form this sphere of fun and colours they used for each one actualy compliments one another. i just had to use this image it just made feel its one of those pictures that if u would send it, a smile bound to happen and imagine actualy owning one.

ugliest shoes ever its like wearing a chess board on your feet which is defirnetly not part of the idea. maybe people with the more earthy free minded wouldnt mind wearing these shoes but for me its realy not working. Quite unexpected from vans shoes but i guess a little crazy never hurt anyone.

Jewellery

The 1st time i saw this picture i couldnt believe people could design and make something like this. I understand contemporary jewelry which is leaning more towards art and provoke your other side of your normal ways, but this picture just clearly looks like plain rubbish and yes pun intended because its literaly made out of rubbish.I doubt even the people who believe in recycle would wear this even the neck strap dont look comftable.

barbies bits become accesseries is quite an intresting way of looking at the usual i jewelry we normaly see its not my stylethough but i love piecese that make you break away from your usual comfort zone. i call this form of jewelry..The Feel good attire

this is when things that are put together or closer would appear as belonging like this image here that looks like four people facing each other than five sculptures standing on their when seperated.

this image is one of those a second longer look is needed in order to notice the writing thats forming their faces like the one on the left who has the words Peace and War than the face right next to it which has Dead and Alive showing that contrast plays a big role because these letters were used as Shades to form faces without finished lines being done. With the dark and light contrast being perfectly used.

in this image you get to see two face with a light face appearing in the middle although it looks like three faces but a sort-of a mirrior image gives of atrick that confuses the eye all thanks to the "eyes" because if you look closely one can see there are two eyes on the faces that are on the sides so its four eyes between three faces...an eye trick thats tricked by the images eyes

similarity

this similarity which group things that look similarf to each other from visualy from shape to size and even colour. with this image sees nothing wrong but THE YELLOW MAN which makes your eye see it as the odd one out were as its the same as all the others jst that it is in a different colour than the others. so its similarity is blurred out because of its colour, proving even if the size,shape or even texture if one of this pointers is different than the rest then its similarity doesnt exist.

Closure

this is defirnetly one of my favourites because not only your eye immediately forms a square, you just can not help but to notice the one behind it. and all of this infomation is projected to your brain although part of the infomation is missing..you still see it than four circles that have been cut with "V" shapes along side "the invisible"square. this happens because we tend to figuare out image than just looking at it as simple as possible.

one of the gestalt principles which is Continuity

this is the proof the eye intencds to build a line even though theres no indication of a line being drawn or made but somehow the dots thats lined up right next to each other trick the brain to register seeing a line than dots.
